Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Complete Classic Series Collection – $88.86 [Buy Now]

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Complete Classic Series Collection

At the risk of sounding like an “only 90’s kids will get this” Facebook post, the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will always be cherished by kids who grew up depressed that they weren’t lucky enough to be exposed to radioactive ooze. I believe I owe TMNT for my obsessive action figure collecting that I just recently realized was tearing my life apart. Damn you, turtles. DAMN YOU! Anyway, this box set features all 10 seasons of the original TMNT cartoon and comes in a radical case that looks like the Turtle’s favorite van.

You can make it look like Chell’s, P-Body’s, Atlus’, or create some original bastard portal device from hell. The sky’s the limit!

Did you really think I’d make this list and not include Nintendo’s new console? Ha. The Wii U is everything the Wii should have been, and then some! While the launch titles aren’t the strongest, the must buy launch title is ZombiU. The Deluxe Set pack-in Nintendo Land is also a solid game, despite being of the “party” variety. The Walking Dead Collector’s Edition – $69.99 [Buy Now]

The Walking Dead Collector's Edition

The undisputed Game of the Year, TellTale’s The Walking Dead adventure game manges to invoke the emotion of the comics in ways the TV show could never dream of. The constant struggle between humanity and death is done with such perfection, I find myself wanting to buy physical version despite already owning it digitally. The great thing about this set is that it comes with a copy of The Walking Dead Compendium One, with exclusive artwork. If you haven’t played the game or read the comic, this is the best way to get into The Walking Dead.

(Editor’s Note) This GameStop Exclusive was a pre-order only. However they still made a set number of them. According to a GameStop employee, they have opened up their warehouse and you can only buy it either online or at the store to ship to your house.

Skylanders Giants – $64.99 [Buy Now]

Skylanders Giants

Let’s be honest here. Do you love your children enough to inject heroin into their veins? No? Then don’t buy them Skylanders. I use Skylanders as an attempt to relive the glory days of Pokémon fever back in the 90’s. It’s not the same, sure, but it still appeals to the collector inside me. Your loved one’s “Gotta Buy ‘Em All” mentality will into effect the moment they realize just how many Skylanders there are and how some of them are needed to access certain areas of the game world.
